The ICGC Data Access Compliance Office (DACO) is a centralised governance body that manages controlled access to cancer genomic data on behalf of the international ICGC consortium.
DACO provides a single compliance pathway, consolidating oversight across dozens of institutions and jurisdictions. DACO maintains rigorous ethical, legal, and procedural standards that enable responsible, cross-border data sharing while preserving the confidentiality of research participants, supporting efficient and trusted collaboration in global cancer genomics research.
We publish this list on the principle of transparency, to research participants and the wider community how ICGC data is being used. Approvals run for two years and are assessed against the ICGC Policies and Guidelines. To raise a question about any project listed here, contact DACO.
